service is domestic F plus (somewhere between F on a 2 class and J on a 3). Not much different than 2 class first (slightly better food), better seats (comparable to J seats on a 3 class with more pitch), better pillows.
not sure about Y (i assume no real food).
If you have plenty of time.. you may want to do the mia-dfw-lax 777 trip and fly F to enjoy a flagship suite, or Y and book a seat in the J cabin.
