If it is a pre-paid rate that you have, you're probably going to have to make a new booking for the extra night.

If it is a "pay the hotel" rate, I would just call the hotel and advise them you are arriving a day earlier.

I have done this by adding days on the back-end without any problems. I've never tried it on the front-end.
