I'm NW Gold Elite.

I have a K class ticket, my wife and daughter have W - (worldperks) award tickets. I'm on a second record from MSP to DCA in July. Provided there is an F class seat available, any chance I can companion upgrade my wife or daughter at the gate? Is this completely up to the GA for an award ticket?
