What happens if your name was mis-spelled on boarding Pass
Are there any ill effects if your name was mis-spelled on a boarding pass?
I flew stand by last night DCA-ORD. I was originally scheduled on a UA code share w/US metal and a layover. I took an earlier, direct flight on UA metal. I knew something was wrong when people with blue boarding passes cleared the list before I did. When I got my boarding pass it didn't show any status.
After I was on the plane I realized my last name was mis-spelled, but my MP number was correct.
I think the desk agent at check in mis-spelled my name on the departure management card.
Am I going to show up as a no-show and will my return flight be affected?
Shouldn't my name, which is spelled correctly in the reservation, have been transferred automatically when they called up my record locator?
Am I going to get credit for the flight?
Also, the ticket agent at the check in desk at DCA did not have the most pleasant demeaner (not complaining, just observing).
Anyone else have similar experiences with same day stand by?
