Did LHR-BAH-SIN-SYD on GF J class a few weeks ago, Mrs PG came back on GF, I had to QF back through the US for work.

Comments on GF. All sectors were on 340's, LHR-BAH was an older aircraft, seats were similar to the BA cradle, but I found them more comfortable, food was good, wines, excellent. Service excellent as well on all legs. IFE dire, take books and iPod. Aircraft BAH-SIN-SYD was a newer 340, same seats but cabin updated, everything was fine, no problems at all, got op'ugd into 1st for the final leg (Mrs PG is GF Silver) where the service was even better, Sky Chef did me some Eggs Benedict for breako, along with a cracking glass of bubbly. Top ^

We were flying on our own tab, we chose GF J over BA WT+, as at the time of booking prices were about the same. We got the GF J returns to SYD on companion tickets for £1499, an absolute bargain in my book.

I've seen a lot of negative press on GF around here and on other forums, my experience, no problems, maybe we got lucky but Mrs PG had a faultless flight home as well. As previous posts the Bahrain Lounge is excellent, as good as some of the CX Wings, lounge in LHR was OK as well, not crowded and a nice line in fresh fruit, cereal and toast for the morning flight.

Good as BA, nah, FF programme isn't too hot, but for value seemed more than fine to me.
