I'd been reading about Erebus only a hour earlier and it was still on my screen. Quite remarkable reading that site it could ever happen on a large jet from a major airline, with 2 highly trained pilots.
This report placed the blame for the accident on the airline systems that had allowed the aircraft to be programmed to fly on the path which led directly to Mount Erebus.
WHO changed the co-ordinates that morning was not explained from what I read. Maybe someone else knows. Tragic something so basic and essentual can be altered, and pilots not told.
