Is this a good or bad run? I can't decide...
SAN-LAX-MSP-AMS-CDG-AMS-MEM-MSP-SAN
8 segments
will take me from silver to gold... are the miles pro-rated from the cutoff point? If so, that can seriously alter the cents/mile ratio. Otherwise it makes the run less valuable.
as it stands now as a NW silver, it's 13,083 EQM at .045/mile (not great, but I also can't find any decent deals this particular weekend, and being almost peak period, i don't know if it'll get any better) and a total miles of 20967, ratio of .0282/mile. Factor in that approx 9000 miles would be credited to me as a Gold, that adds changes the formula up a bit to about .024/mile (which I consider to be "good")
So here's the dilemma.. is this a decent run or should I hold out for something else and try to stay domestic? I can't find anything domestically that's remotely close in price/eqm, everything transcon is 300+ from SAN or LAX.
Thanks for any input.
