I used the Diamond Guarantee this week in getting a room for Mr. RW, who was not real happy with the only other option in town (suspiciously ultra cheap Days Inn). I thought it was interesting that the Diamond Guarantee rate was 25% less than the rate he paid at the same Hampton a week or so earlier. I felt a tiny bit guilty (but not too guilty). I wonder if some poor guy was walked to the Days Inn or if they hold rooms just for this possibility.
