Background on Pucci

....and of course my own personal favorite was the famous Pucci Braniff "Space Helmet" which was supposed to protect stewardess' beehive hair-dos from the rain (remember not alot of jet bridges back in '65). http://www.airlinemeals.net (click on the left hand link "Ads from the past" and then Braniff).


Don't know if "our" Pucci ever had a chance to wear any of these, but I'm sure she was quite resplendent in her former BritCal uniform (my dad used to say it looked like a bagpipe exploded on the stewardesses). It was wonderful, you certainly could see the legacy influence of Caledonian after the merger.
