Personally, I'd love to see ORD and SFO back at ONT. Make my life easier - and that's what is important. I'd gladly take it as TED

However, the idea of doing ONT-MDW or ONT-OAK makes no sense. What might make sense is to run TED flights from hubs to secondary airports in key regions. So ONT/BUR/SNA to SFO/ORD, MDW to LAX/SFO/IAD and OAK/SJO to LAX/ORD.

That way, travelers in a region who are desperate for first class can get it, but creates more convenient options for connections.

Heck, I'd gladly take an RJ to SFO just to avoid the schlepp to LAX
