Lets see, the "bridge" approach to SFO - why those would be 28L & R of course.

Entirely common to hear SFO appraoch on Ch 9 say "er UA XXX can you take the left (or right)" right up to touchdown. The last minute realignment always brings groans from the non Ch 9 wearing masses.

Nice touch though for the Cap't to confess he needed to try a second time. It's they ones who don't go for the second attempt that we need to worry about!
