I am trying to book CPT-VFA-JNB on SAA using Virgin air miles for early Dec. However Virgin are saying there is no availability at all in either Nov or Dec in any class, although you can still buy these tickets on teh SAA website. Does anyone know whether SAA have not released these yet or if it is likely all fully booked(!) Virgin say SAA have no black out dates for award flights so it must be one of these 2 possibilities.

Am v keen to use my airmiles as it is costing around ZAR5000 for a business return, or 30,000 miles so seems worthwhile cashing them in.

Also heard that SAA are to start flying to LVI - anyone know if I can do the above itin to LVI as an alternative? Tried Comair and Nationwide as well but since I want to flight out on Sat and return Mon, only SAA seem to do these days.
