Sorry, I probably didn't describe this so well. The Veal consomme came afterwards, as a kind of post-supper drink, I think. The platter described above was the main dish - and it was very substantial selection of cold cuts and salads. If I get a chance, I'll also post the menu from the 'proper' dinner service on the way home.
