Being realistic is not being racist/bigoted.
Right now, Israel is facing an extremely difficult time. Sharon has decided to withdraw from the Gaza Strip and the Israeli religious Right is furious. There is talk of the settlers fighting the Army and threats have been made against Sharon's life.
Ever since Rabin was murdered, security has always been tight around every Israeli Prime Minister but it is even tighter now. Still, wouldn't it be more sensible for the security forces to spend more of their time and efforts at looking at the religioius Right than at the Israeli moderates and the Left?
Of course it would -- that is common sense, not racism or bigotry.
When Presbyterians start targeting Americans throughout the world, than it will be sensible to concentrate efforts on Presbyterians. That, too, will not be racism.
If you are seeking Al Qaeda terrorists, you should dedicate most (admittedly, not all) of your efforts on those most likely to belong to Al Qaeda. I know it is not very PC to admit this, but Al Qaeda is
not an equal opportunity employer.
