I don't see the difference between eating a smelly meal and someone that will change dirty diapers on tray tables, not use deodorant or shower for a few days, pass gas, etc. There are many more situations that are longer lasting and much more obnoxious than eating on a plane and people still insist on doing them. I'm not saying that these behaviors are good, but they do happen and I simply don't see how any of this is going to go away any time soon (though I wish it would). Basically, most people are ignorant to the fact that their behaviors have an effect on the people around them...I'm sure if they realized the impact of those actions, we would see less of them.
