spent the weekend here

got the $99 rate a nite for 2 nights
was upgraded to the concierge level
(i am only marriott silver)
and was given free breakfest for 2 for each day
(the breakfest inclusive rate was $125 a nite)

was travelling with a friend
the only thing i didnt like was the rooms have double beds instead of queen sized

there is a lower rate - $79 for AAA - but it is advanced purchase, so you cant use bonus bucks or premium pounds with them

used a premium pound and it converted to $189.39 credit

location is just south of the airport
and the hotel is actually located at the edge of a wildlife refuge

from my room I could see the end of the runway
so if you like looking at airplanes come and go its nice
otherwise it was a rather ratty view of that end of the runways

here is a large lake (?) in front of the hotel
its full of fronds (I think) so its rather green

i spent saturday afternoon at the ball game
game lasted 2 hours and 20 mins
then took 90 mins to get out of the parking lot

according to the hotel
the #37 bus runs from broad and snyder to in front of the hotel
so if i can get from broad and snyder to broad and patterson, i will leave the car in the hotel parking lot

on friday night nite a local high school was holding a prom
and on saturday nite there was a bunch of girls basketball teams staying there
so in the elevator some of the guests were complaining about the noise in the hotel
but it was quiet where i was

(($99 a night + $8 in taxes + 2 free buffet breakfasts) times 2) minus $189.39 for a premium pound makes it a very good deal for me

i will return to this hotel in 2 weeks for Penn Relays weekend
