I remember a somewhat brief period of time (maybe a year or two) back in the late 90's when Era tried flying the Seward-ANC route. It obviously must not have been a moneymaker since it was axed. Most folks must have just figured the two hour drive to Anchorage was worth it for presumably cheaper prices.
That was a gorgeous flight too, right over the Harding Icefield and portions of Kenai Fjords National Park.
Era also used to fly to Denali National Park but that is long gone as well.
