Good question... I've been following all these NW/CO threads closely because I'm an Alaska Airlines MVP who is usually based out of ORD...
All kinds of chances to EARN elite qualifying miles (AA, NW and AS's ANC/ORD flight) but not much chance for my elite status to be recognized.
I would use NW's program, but being based in a non-hub city, I get quite a few segments. I don't want to lose the chance to earn status based on segments.
I've been considering using CO's comp to equal tier program (silver, in my case) and then flying NW because I don't want to get bitten by EUA.
Any thoughts?
