Sorry about the gripe but this is one of my pet peeves about UA...too many times when I'm hungover on a 7am flight leaving SIN or BKK and I have to listen to 30 minutes of this jive.
The 15 min the 1st time isn't bad, its the translation into every single language the crew can muster that turns it into the hour long diatribe. Why do I need ot hear 3 versions on a flight that only originates in 1 country and ends in a 2nd...seems 2 would suffice. I can't believe theire is an obligation, but maybe UA feels that safety is more important than out need to listen to Chuck Mangone playing "Feels so Good" on the Flugle horn on channel 9 (remember the days that was the intro to the comedy channel they had?)
