That's why I recommended anyone not EXP considering buying the YUP ($1100) since with stickers of $250-$300 your cost of flight will be $750-$800 already, and now with very full cabins anyone non-EXP has virtually nil chance of being upgraded.

I've seen so many EXPs not getting upgraded SFO-JFK or JFK-SFO on busy days......

I cannot imagine paying anything like that to travel accross the country. I guess I have been pretty spoiled since I have only been doing this for a couple of years, and the only reason I've ever been to New York is that AA would take me there for <$250. If these trends continue, I guess I'll finally get to see some of California...
