FWIW, I worked today and things seemed to go very smoothly. There wasn't any slow-down of the lines that I could tell. Contrary to popular belief, lighters are easy to spot and before all this, I would spot lighters in an average of every third bag. Today, during my 1 hour on x-ray, I only had to call bag checks twice for lighters so people are mostly not carrying them. I'm assuming they're carrying matches since I saw several packs of cigarettes as well. We had an empty bin out front for pax to voluntarily drop their lighters into if they so chose and not too many people had to use it. There was none of the automatic secondary or bag dump nonsense; just simple and straightforward.
