I went to GVA last year, in November. The flights were very nice; A319s which were pretty empty and an on-board op-up on the return (so I didn't get to try the lounge).
The city couldn't be easier to get to - especailly as all the trains stop at the main station.

TXL (Berlin) is one of the destinations I'm planning for July/August ever since being inspired by fbgdavidson trip report from a few years ago, however Berlin was not 'cheap' in Club Europe last year.
I'm going to TXL in late June for 2 nights. Quite looking forward to it actually.
