If the worst comes to the worst you can use Purple Parking. You park off-airport (about 10/15 mins away) and they bus you in and out for free. I think it costs about £7 per day (or thereabouts). I have used them several times for Chauffeur Parking (much more expensive) and they have been very good.
The last time we used Purple Parking the whole procedure took so long that we vowed never again- so we now use an airport car service but then again we only live in SW London.
The London Transport carpark at Hounslow west should be fine as I think it was run by someone like NCP and you are prob right I think we may have paid £2.50. Mind you I wouldn't park my TVR there( if I had one)!!!
