I wouldn't worry too much about copyright infringement. Posting the text of a news article in this forum probably is defensible as a Fair Use under Section 107 of the Copyright Act, given that the posting is (i) factual, not fictional; (ii) for a non commercial end use; (iii) transformative into a new medium; (iv) accompanied in the forum by new, original material. There are other supporting factors, but I'll stop here.
