I have been flying since 1966 and learned my lesson a long time ago about checking luggage or rather the NOT checking of luggage.

I have it down to a fine art now. My carryon luggage weighs just over six kgs and my record is living out of it for 61 days on my honeymoon a few years back - well who needs clothes on a honeymoon .

In those days - late sixties - I flew LH a lot FRA to JNB. My funniest moment was watching the movie Call me Bwana with Bob Hope dubbed in German. It blew my mind seeing everyone yakking away in German.
