1) What fare class are these flights booked in (economy)? From what I've read so far, it seems they would be booked in 'L'.
2) Do they accrue Q-Points/Q-Miles at normal rates?
3) Is the zone distance between two non-OW cities (eg. CDG and FCO) calculated as CDG-FCO or as CDG-MAD-FCO? In this case, would this flight count as two flights for the minimum or just one?
4) In any case, is a <24 hr stopover permitted at the transit city?
TIA
Your questions are all addressed in the starfiles. This is the latest copy of the Visit Europe starfiles that I have seen:
http://www.hardlink.com/~markdu/OWFi...uropePass.html

1. Used to be L now V. Good luck finding availability.
2. Yes.
3. Fares are calculated per segment. If CDG-MAD-FCO was a single flight number (one segment) then mileage would be calculated as CDG-FCO under my reading of the rules.
6N . 1. FARES ARE CALCULATED PER SEGMENT AS SPECIFIED
7N . BELOW AND ARE EXCLUSIVE OF ANY TAXES AND
8N . PASSENGER FEES WHICH MUST BE COLLECTED
9N . SEPARATELY.
4. Stopovers only allowed at ticketed points.
86N ROUTING
87N --------
88N .
89N . * INDIVIDUAL SEGMENTS MAY NOT BE TRAVELLED MORE
90N . THAN ONCE IN EACH DIRECTION.
91N . * TRANSFERS PERMITTED AT TICKETED POINTS ONLY
92N .
93N STOPOVERS
94N ----------
95N .
96N PERMITTED AT TICKETED POINTS ONLY
