it does make sense, but from what I can see, because of the poor rate of the dollar, it actually comes out less!!!!

$115 is the corp rate for a couple of the Mariott hotels in the area I am flying to, which is roughly £64 = a total of 307 miles

$115 at the BA rate would give 3 miles per $ - 345 miles

either way, for 3 nights its a hell of a lot less than the 3k miles I get from Hilton stays

Thanks for the tip though, I will have to keep an eye on it when travelling in the UK which sometimes results in Mariott stays
