Mrs. michaelr and her brother are embarking on a trip to the Sheraton Vistana Villages in Orlando in the beginning of May. Some six months ago, she received the following promo: 4 nights and 8000 points for $219. When she booked the trip, she was told that a daily tax of $13.50 applies.

A few days ago someone from the property called to let her know that any cleaning services carry a $30/day charge. If she declines, she has the opportunity to service the room herself and will be shown where linens and towels are located.

Has anyone experience with this?

Creative ideas for additional charges are also welcome. I'll start with

1. A per use fee for the key just $1.
2. Running hot water if desired $10/day.
3. An upgraded mattress from ply wood to air $14.99/day with a special to a regular double for just an additional $2/day extra (normally priced at $9.99)

Naturally these fees are OPTIONAL. A disclaimer section is also required such as if the key is not purchased, the room will be kept unlocked and the property cannot be liable for any missing items.
