I say it's all fine, provided that the bonus is directly tied to the company's performance. What I despise are CEOs of failing companies that somehow still manage to get multi-million-dollar bonuses.

If CO falters financially, then he'd better not be getting these bonuses. Otherwise, I agree that he's earned them.
