Otherwise, if there's damage to the rental car, Visa will only pay up to the deductible on your collision/comp insurance (usually $500). If the claim is for a larger amount, your insurance company will pay the rest...hence "secondary" coverage from Visa.
maybe because i'm from canada so its different and its actually the issuing bank that buys coverage for me from another insruance company for my car rental. so even between visa cards, depending on who issued it, the comprehensive coverage for car rental can be different
but ur help is very much appreciated. just wondering, do/did you work for car rental place before and know so much more than an average joe would?
