If you actually EARNED the top elite (5 years with no breaks) since 1987, then you should be Infinite Plat. During the bad times, CO would upgrade you to the next level if you were close or say within 5-10K miles, but these level upgrades did not count towards Infinite.
Back in 1987 the top level for gold needed 60K miles (20/40/60) then around early 1990s it dropped to 50K miles (20/35/50). Of course it is now (25/50/75).
