You have my sympathy - after a fashion! On one hand I do sympathise with being in a position where you felt that you could not enjoy your flight, and so felt you had wasted your miles. On the other, I am a parent and I have regularly taken our children since they were both under a year old in long haul J. So I don't really care for the sweeping "ban children" statements, simply because some make a noise. You'd cringe (I assume) if you caught yourself saying "ban Indians" because you had been in a cabin with someone who had bad body odour (and before the PC crowd round on me, it's just an example).

But my question is this: one day, you and Mrs. Gaza (?Sheena) may be lucky enough to have children. If you were in a position that allowed your family to travel in J or F, would you? And if your small baby starting crying in J or F (because it couldn't adjust the pressure in its ears, say), what would you do? Just curious.
