Once again pearls of wisdom from our favorite CSD!

Probably had you sunk low enough to poke throught the coat locker you might have found out a bit more as the BP would have told a story as well. the flight must have been over-catered or they had last minute cancellations.
About a week before departure the flight had been showing F2 A0 J0 D0 Y1 ...... so assume it was oversold. However, on MMB there we still around 5 or 6 seats shown as unoccupied. I'm not sure if Inventory Control start reducing F inventory down once it becomes clear they will be in an serious oversold situation.
Last year when flying to JFK in WT+ I found myself upgraded to Club when I OLCI'd at -23:59:59. I mentioned this to the Special Services lady in the lounge at T4 and she said it didn't look as if I had been upgraded. Perhaps if upgrading occurs before the airport has full control then it doesn't shown as upgraded on the manifest.
The father in 3K seemed to know his way around an F cabin so I figured (a) he is a regular F flyer or (b) he works for BA in some capacity or another.

I have to be honest this is a really tricky one, but go ballistic at BA. I will look out another phone number when I am home of someone who should be able to get something sorted. Whatever you do be very firm but no rants.
Early on I did raise it with the CSD in a light-hearted way. I went to get another bottle of water and made a comment about not being able to sleep and babies should be banned from FIRST. He laughed and made a comment about they should be drugged before coming on board.

This is why I am convinced they were upgraded. Would anyone travelling with a family really book tickets without seat allocation?

We thought of that but Club was full so it was not an option.

Eh??
As well as paying vast sums in income tax I am paying substantial sums in to a pension fund to support my retirement (which I hasten to add is still some way off) that will also be heavily taxed when I do retire.

I agree. ^
