For the first time in about 5 years I received the GG ONE 123 promotion. This is the promotion where, if you fly 3 times on CO internationally between Oct 1 and March 31, the 1s trip activates the offer, the second trip is double miles, and the thrid is tripple. This is the 3rd trip.
I booked today EWR-HNL-GUM-HKG-GUM-HNL-IAH-EWR for the princely sum of $934 RT (Note that the price is the same from IAH). The Status miles earned are 22,094 and with the 125% Platinum Bonus, the grand total is 93,900 miles. Oh yes, all flights were upgraded for the customery 50,000 miles Round Trip.
If anyone is really wants to maximize GG ONE 123, this is a good offer. Make no mistake though, this is a grueling trip. I've done it once and it is very LONG. I was told that the rules required trips on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday and that there was no minimum stay. I leave January 27 and return on February 3rd.
