All 737-700 and 737-800 are equipped with video entertainment systems. Some 737-300s were fitted with aisle mounted video systems before the 700/800 came into the fleet. This was because the 737-300 was used for the majority of the long haul domestic flights. Only some of the aircraft were fitted with the systems.

Now, the 700/800 does the majority of the long haul flying. There are some long flights however (CLE-SAN) on 737-500 without entertainment systems.
