Help with reservation status "unknown" + seats on oversold flt....
I have booked a last-minute trip to OGG with Pleasant Holidays (whom I've used before several times -- but never so last minute) via AA. I booked the trip on Thursday (4 days ago) and we leave on Saturday (4/16).
There was little to no availability on the outbound and I have been on the phone twice confirming w/PHolidays and they have had to manually process my ticket reservation and give me the record locator number.
At the moment, on aa.com, my reservation shows "status UNKNOWN"... On top of this, it won't let me assign seats on the outbound leg. 
On Expedia, the flight (253) shows 7 'preferred seats' available. On aa.com, it shows no seats available. We have assigned seats for the return.
Our goal with this trip is to go with carry-on luggage, check in online, and have a smooth experience at LAX.
But with this 'unknown' flag and not being sure we can secure seats, I am a bit worried.
Any comments/suggestions? FWIW, we have no status.
