Premium for AMEX
I wouldn't pay a premium to use the AMEX...I personally value points at $.01 each, so paying more than that would be a waste of money

The only time I've really found this to be an issue is in the Middle East, where I found that many merchants HATE to take cards in general, and the AMEX in particular. They generally wanted to charge 5% extra for AMEX....No Sale!
