Yes this is where the 500-mile upgrades appear.

Think also you need to be at least Gold for this feature to work (gain them automatically). Or when you purchase them for $$ or exchange miles for them also.. this is where they go.

I'm not sure however if no-tier members would ever gain anything automatically ... or even if they are eligible for the 500 mile coupons upgrade program. Since your profile lists no tier level, this may be why yours continues to show zero.
