I agree there is value depending on what you plan to use it for. But there does seem to be less value relative to the other passes offered.
I was actually thinking of combining it with a Sun Pass because my final destination is MCO. So that part complicates it a little. One, because they're offered in different credit bundles (6 vs. 10), and two, I'll need to use a cert to upgrade the sun segment anyway, so I might as well just book a tango plus fare all the way through and use a cert for both segments.
I was trying to be a little creative after trying a couple of other options. For instance, Westjet offers a direct flight from YYC to MCO. Nice, but... they only go on Sunday's (early) and Wednseday - so not very good for business travel. Also, I tried the UA Denver connection, which is ok - but... AC is generally much kinder to me and I obviously prefer bus class over economy plus seating on UA/Ted.
So, I guess I'll stick to the tango plus fares for awhile.
Also curious is the overlap between the Calgary City Pass and the Latitude Pass for the West, like ReluctantCanadian alluded to. I would think most (probably not all, but most) people that buy a pass would probably do so for a specific routing. It would really suck if you purchased the Calgary City pass for travel between YYC and LAX, since it looks like the Latitude for the West offers the same route for much less.
Thanks for all the replys.
