The bottom line is that people aren't willing to pay more for anything. The large majority of people that fly these days are looking for the least expensive fare, regardless of amenities. The only real amenity that still holds some passengers loyalty is the frequent flyer program of various airlines. Beyond that, people fly on the least expensive airline that has a schedule that matches their needs. Especially in a market dominated by leisure traffic like Hawaii. If an airline were to spend money to try to create a better travel experience at all, it would be wise to do it in a market where high revenue business travelers still thrive. Like UA is doing with their PS service.
