T-Mobile says VM/text msgs won't work with my P280 soon
T-Mobile sent me a note saying I should upgrade my cellphone (a Motorola P280) because it won't be compatible with either their text messaging or voicemail or both. The letter was so poorly worded it wasn't clear what the real issue was.
I am looking for a new phone anyway, but I wondered what the problem was. Is there some special magic in their GSM that I'll be missing? I suspect not. Is this just a ploy to get me into a phone that works with new services that they are otherwise unable to sell me?
