I actually forgot to post this some time back, I was flying SRQ IAH SFO, and I called about 70 hours out to get an upgrade, and I was already upgraded. The agent told me "you called us at 2:14 am [this was about 7am], and I said "no, I didn't" and the agent actually was kind of rude about it, and insisted that I did and that there would be no way to have been upgraded sans this telephone call, which I didn't make.

Anyway, I don't know if I was auto-upgraded, but the particularity of the actual "time I called" kind of freaked me out.
