I flew Virgin coach from EWR to LHR last June and found also that the seats are very uncomfortable for persons of a certain height (and I'm 5'9"). I think the person seated in front of me may have had my kneecaps permanently imprinted on his kidneys because there simply isn't room for passengers with legs, which leads to uncomfortable coach sleeping. Very sad, since Virgin was otherwise a great experience. AA does have nice comfy seats, to be sure, but I've had good luck with CO in coach. Hope this helps . . .
