Hi guys, due to visit some friends & family in various bits of Europe in May, and I ended up with the following flight arrangements for the way back

Lyon-CDG-LHR, arriving at 2pm, T2 on Air France
LHR-DXB-SIN, departing at 8pm, T3 on Emirates

Yes, it's going to be a painful process (well.. Lyon-LHR will be on AF's biz class, but the emirates flight is in economy! 3-4-3 seating, here I come..), but I'm obligated to fly from LHR for various reasons.

I've never done a transit at LHR before, so I'd like to ask if I can get from T2 to T3 without going thru customs (the queues can be quite insane for non-EU citizens! ). And also what would my best bet be for spending the 6 hours there (alone to boot).

I'll also post it across on the AF board, but can I get my checked-in luggage transferred across without having to physically collect the bags (once again, the point is to avoid customs). I know this sounds incredibly newbie-ish, this is also my 1st transit involving 2 seperate plane tickets (and airlines!), so I'm an actual noob!
