PS.....Many Other Door Locks at Hotel Had Drill/Pry Marks...

PS....While I was waiting for my room to be opened up (I had to wait on 3 separate occasions, for the bell/maid to fetch new keys before they finally determined that the lock has malfunctioned and not the keys), I was walking back and forth on the 9th floor corridor. I've noticed many door locks with drill/pry marks on the "button" on top of the lock where later the "engineer" came to use a drill on.

Apparently the "button" is a solid metal piece that covers the exterior screw to the lock's face plate. Anyway, my point is, based on this observation I can draw the conclusion that this has happened before and that the type of locking mechanism used at the hotel is not very reliable. Just the room next to mine had apparent pry marks around the "button."

I was also very surprised at the "archaic" method of opening up the locking mechanism. The lock was not unresponsive or anything -- when a key card was inserted into the slot it just blinked red lights, even for the Maid's or the Fron Desk Manager's master key.......so the lock itself was responsive, but just failed to unlock.

I understand the issue with depleted batteries and wear and tear issues, but seriously, at an advertised "4-star" hotel I think these things shold be limited to zero. Not to mention the 5-10 minute waits I encountered every time the maid/bellman went to fetch new keys.....very annoying...at least I got a close and detailed look of the worn hallways.......

All in all, very disappointed with this "Park".....calling it a standard business hotel worthy of 3 stars would be more appropriate.
