Since you hinted you are in row 1, you will need to store all of your carry-on items in the overhead area. My larger than normal suitcase fits in with wheels up and facing out in either of those aircraft so that's not a problem. Only problem is if you are late boarding, then other FC pax may have taken up the space, especially the row 1 pax.
I don't think the overhead storage space is much different than other airlines so do what you might have done at your favorite carrier.
I try to reserve any other row than row 1 for this specific reason. I may have to store the smaller bag under the seat if I'm not in the early group to board during my connection.
