My wish is to see CO serves more Southeast Asian cities from the U.S. mainland, if not non-stop, then directly through an intermediate point like NRT, KIX or TPE. Of course, this involves the Fifth Freedom issue. TPE could be a good transfer point to SE Asia.
CS serves some Far Eatern cities through its hub in Guam, but Guam just isn't really a hub for flights between the U.S. mainland and Asia. Imagine flying from Houston to Manila on a combination of CO and CS through Hawaii and Guam. It would bring back memory of flying Pan Am's Clippers from SFO to MNL and making stops along the way on all the Pacific islands. 3 days and 3 nights! That was flying then!
Anyway, CO's codeshare with NW is no good for all the reasons Wiirachay stated. CO also codeshares with EVA of Taiwan, but the flights aren't really CO's, are they? I would just like to see more CO flights on real CO planes to more of Asia.
