Get bad news over with

I think they follwed the model of "Don't draw out bad news" - do it and don't leave the issue open for debate or appeal.

Gary has laid out very aggressive productivity and cost reduction numbers for each department, and maybe the credit change is part of meeting those goals - in order to continue to do well financially.

The SWA product is looking better when compared to others. Yesterdays WSJ article on seat pitch was SWA positive, USErrways is outsourcing their call centers to Mexico and beyond, UAL is closing a rez center, and AA has LRTC and other service quality reductions. At least I can count on WN for service consistency, as well as safety and a resonable price (not lowest).

Flying out of Austin, I choose either WN or AA. I have a trip to FLL booked on AA in F and if the service/quality/seat pitch is not there, then I think I am with WN for the rest of the year.

My three wishes for SWA are:
1. differentiate RR credit based on trip length
2. check in online 24 hours in advance
3. reduce or eliminate seat recline
