I agree with most of the comments about Thrifty. I used to go to them first as the rates in compacts (Neons - adequate for me) was very competitive. Recently, I have found their rates to have increased to such a point that I can get better rates with Alamo and National.

My advice is to keep shopping around, if you have the time. Unconditional customer loyalty is a blank cheque for businesses to squeeze more blood out of you.
