Yes, you can buy a farecard in the train station. I think it's $1.75 each way - you can load the card with $3.50 or $4 or whatever before you board the first train, eliminating the need to reload it at Comiskey, where there might be a line to use the card machine. (Someone correct me if my fare info is out of date!)

As for game tickets, think of the hardest ticket in sports to get. Masters? Super Bowl? Maybe a box seat at one of those Fenway WS games last year? Anyway, consider that experience...

...a White Sox game on a Monday in April is the exact opposite of that.

If you play the scalping game outside the stadium, someone might give you tickets. But...the very fact that you are going to this game means that you are a True Seamhead, so I'd advise perhaps spending a little money (definitely not face value or anything!) for a nice box seat.

Great help! I appreciate all the info. I will definitely ride the orange to roosevelt, then the red to US Cellular (I think you said Comiskey?), and I will for sure buy a good box seat, since I know that attendance won't be Standing Room Only. Thanks again for your help. ^
